Proper shoulder bag

Am looking for something leather, fairly small (wallet, keys, makeup, phone), that is not a satchel, or remotely satchel like. two or more colours would be good ie not just black or brown. Have looked a lot. The thing I like the most so far is this J Crew one but don't like the strap - too long and thin. Yes I am picky and fairly fashiony.

Can anyone help?

I've looked at lots of these too, you are definitely on the right track. But I think there's none I like more than the J Crew. What do you think of it?

I have done lots more research and think what I want just doesn't exist for less than 2 grand.
