Which dress for a wedding (at a castle)?

I am 5ft 6, size 10/12, pale and blonde.

They attempted to deliver today. However, as dh and I work we weren't in. I thought they might've left it in the shed or with a neighbour.

Ach well, I've arranged to pick it up from WH Smith in the next town. Can't get there till Saturday.

HELP! Come and tell me if the 12 is too big. Well, I know it is too big but I'm scared the 10 would be too tight. Tell me if I should send the 12 back and order the 10.

Also, dh is now saying he thinks the red would be better.

Photos on my profile. Ignore the red heels please - I would wear nude tights and gold heels. Also, a little fake tan (for fair skin) to take the whiteness out of my arms.

Yes I agree - it's too big and you have a fantastic figure. I do love that colour though. Can you order both and send the one you like less back??

Think what I'll do is order the red in a 10 and then I'll know which colour and which size is best.

All this is an elaborate distraction to stop me thinking about leaving my dc for 3 days while I attend a weeding at the other side of the country. I have just realised.

I'm going to go against the grain and say that I don't think it does look too big, although would have to see the 10 on for comparison. And I like the blue.

Tethersend - thank you. I'll post pics of the 10. I'm probably a perfect size 11.

Inneed - I've left dh with the kids for a couple of weekends and before that we've left dd for a couple of weekends. However, we have never left ds (just turned 3) before. He is my baby and I think he may take it hard.

Well, they've sold out of the blue on most sizes!! I had made up my mind to go for the blue in a 10 but I've had to go for the red.

I'll be back on Friday (only day I'm in to take delivery) to post pics if I'm able to get into the 10.

Thanks Catgirl. I was talked out of all of the dresses in my op. I've never really worn long before and was easily talked into a lovely Vivienne Westwood number.

I ordered the blue in 12 but it was too big. Then, the 10 in blue was sold out so I went for the 10 in red and it is great. Photos on my profile.
