How to look after suede?

Any tips on how yo look after suede yo prevent colour transfer and removing rain spots etc?

I was going to post this exact same thread so will hang out here if you don't mind?

Suede spray. 3 coats before you even think about wearing them, leave to dry between coats (spray outside - suede protector is really nasty stuff).

Every couple of weeks (at least every 4-5 wears) brush with a suede brush to ease off any marks and respray.

Lots of work, but worth it for the perfect suede shoes/boots. I hate plain leather

Me too, I have a beautiful suede pink handbag which is dirty now and I don't know how to clean it!

Any recommendations? I have just managed to get the Ugg boots I have coveted for a bargain £55.00 but don't really want to pay £30 for their own suede spray.

Ooo; just sprayed my new bargainous Uggs with Kiwi water protect (or something like that) spray earlier today. Not much detail on the can. Thought that the backs looked like a different colour afterwards but maybe they weren't dry enough to tell. Didn't know I should re-apply again, so thanks for that.
