Squeaky Boots!

My boots squeak when I walk - what on earth can I do? They're lovely long black LKB boots so I don't want to relegate them to the back of the wardrobe for the winter. They've done it since I bought them - is there a cure?

The squeak is where there is separation between the sole and the upper, a minute one that you probably can't even see.

Very carefully using a cotton bud apply baby oil around join of sole and upper and allow to penetrate.

I bought some patent doc martins that did the same and I did similar but with Vaseline.

That and wearing around the house for a bit did the trick
