Can you help me find THE ring?

Looking for an engagement ring and pretty sure of what design I'd like but tiny budget so wondered if anyone can help as I'm going a bit cross eyed from staring at the computer screen now!

Would like emerald cut (or similar shape) diamond surrounded by tiny diamonds (a halo?) and diamond shoulders.

Don't mind white gold or yellow.

Not too fussed on the specifics eg carot but really want to find this type of design.

Can anyone help please?
Thank you!

Very good TeamEdward

I don't know where you live, but if you can get to the jewellery quarter in Birmingham, you could have a ring made up very reasonably.

Sorry I'm not sure if I can do links on my phone but is this what you're thinking of?
DH got my engagement ring from this place and they were great, they haven't got any stores but there is a office in London you can visit to look at samples.

MrsHarry what would you say is 'reasonable'? Can you get budget type rings?
I'd say budget is £1500 max.

I would go to Hatton Garden in Central London and look in person. Lots of choice and variety, competitively priced to suit all budgets and if you can't find what you're looking for you can have it designed and made for you.

KosherBacon · 07/09/2013 10:17

To be honest I'd try get the best quality emerald cut diamond in a plain setting. You can get it reset later. If you get the diamond halo and diamonds on the band, you won't have much money left for the centre diamond which is the main bit.

KosherBacon · 07/09/2013 10:19

For example £1075 in 14k white gold for the setting only and it is from a respectable online dealer.

BigW · 07/09/2013 10:24

No idea if they're any good. I agree with KosherBacon

Where do you live? It's worth taking a trip to Hatton Garden.

mrsharrystyles · 07/09/2013 11:15

They will make something to your specifications and price range. Whatever you want. There are loads of shops and workshops.

mrsharrystyles · 07/09/2013 11:17

Actually I agree with kosher. You would get a better diamond for your money in the jewellery quarter.

SorrelForbes · 07/09/2013 11:18

I third the recommendation for the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter. DH got my engagement ring there. It was valued in London soon after for twice the amount he paid for it.

these guys do interest free credit or i'm sure if you call you could get something with a slightly smaller centre diamond to fit in your budget...
