ici

I have just ordered a few. You get 70% off and then 3 for 2 as well...it's cool Smile

Not sure about the sizing though - does anyone know if they stretch like mad?

Oooooh I love hasbeens!!!!!!! No they don't stretch too much .....

Rooners · 06/09/2013 17:08

Oh thankyou! Enjoy...!

Ooh! Are these good for a narrow foot? They don't mention width at all! Their sizing seems a bit odd. UK 8 is not usually a 43 but I suppose their cm sizing should be ok...

Rooners · 06/09/2013 21:03

They are great for a narrow foot imo - I had some that were way too narrow, but they were a heel and I have ordered boots now. Hoping they will fit!

I am normally a 41/42 and ordered 42 I think last time, the length was fine but the width was a bugger.

I'm a bit worried I should have gone for 43 now.

OP posts:
ProtectiveMother · 07/09/2013 13:08

Why was the width a bugger? Too wide or too narrow?

ProtectiveMother · 07/09/2013 13:09

I am probably a C fitting,( which is more narrow than most Clarks boots for example). Whaddaya think?

Rooners · 07/09/2013 13:43

Sorry. I meant that it was too narrow for my feet,

I am probably around a G fitting,

the length was fine but the width was not! I imagine at a C you will be perfectly ok.

I am hoping that the lower heeled boots I have ordered are going to be less narrow. A few google reviews have said the lengths are good but widths narrow, the higher the heel, the narrower the width for some reason.

Rooners · 07/09/2013 13:44

The heels I got and returned were Savannah I think, in dark raspberry pink.

ProtectiveMother · 07/09/2013 21:09

Thanks. I would only be going for the flat boots so if anyone knows if suitable for narrow feet, please advise.

I also read a blog online that said this brand is really uncomfortable and hard to wear in. Any experiences gratefully received!

Rooners · 08/09/2013 08:23

Sorry not to be much use - bumping in case anyone can help!

I have read about the uncomfortableness too.

As fas as I can imagine, not having received them yet, the boots might be a little less of a problem in that respect because they haven't got straps that will dig in, also a lot of them are lined with woolly stuff I think. I have avoided getting anything with a wooden sole, I cannot imagine ever being comfortable wearing a wooden soled shoe. I'm glad the sandals went back.

When the boots arrive I will post and let you know what they're like. You are sensible, waiting - not like me ordering several pairs at once with a no returns policy Blush

I would really appreciate hearing what the fit is like as I am quite keen!

Thanks!

:-)

ProtectiveMother · 11/09/2013 13:25

Any sign of your hasbeens yet? :-)

Rooners · 11/09/2013 13:27

Niet. There is tracking, and they have just left Denmark Grin

I will keep you updated. I think the sale ended yesterday though. (the garage sale bit anyway)

There are some still on sale though. I hope they are the ones you wanted.

OP posts:
Rooners · 11/09/2013 13:29

OTOH if you wanted some that I ordered I am sure I will not need 6 pairs.

Not sure if we are the same size (if not width!)

OP posts:
ProtectiveMother · 11/09/2013 15:23

Gah!

Rooners · 14/09/2013 08:30

Hi, PM - they arrived yesterday, well some of them did.

They are pretty big actually. well not huuuuge, just a bit slippy in a 42 (for me - I am between a 41 and 42 normally) and I am quite sad about it as the width is fine, not massively wide, but perfect for me.

I'm not sure what my width measurement is, though. Normal shoes tend to fit me Ok.

I wish I had gone for 41s now as some of these will be ending up on the dreaded ebay.

Still waiting for some pairs which are lined, and hoping that the lining makes them a cosier fit.

I'm not sure what size you are but if you might be interested in any of mine then give me a shout Smile

OP posts:
ProtectiveMother · 15/09/2013 13:19

The length of the 42s on their site seemed really small! I am usually a 42 but lengthwise, I am 28.5cm. If you can tell me the length of your feet on a ruler, great! :-)

Rooners · 15/09/2013 18:25

Hiya! Well I've just borrowed ds's school ruler and stood on it with the back of my heel to the wall - left foot is 25cm, right is 25.5cm.

I'm not sure if that will help you at all! Not sure how to measure inside the boots iyswim, but those are my feet anyway (with thickish socks on, to longest toe) Smile

OP posts:
Rooners · 15/09/2013 18:28

btw the length is ok, I think my toes are approaching the end with a little to spare, but the heels are slipping if you get what I mean? If I lift my foot, to walk, the shoe follows behind.

Might be more to do with the width round the top of the foot/ankle area, anyway, I don't like the feeling so am hoping desperately that the lined ones fit better.

OP posts:
Lighthousekeeping · 15/09/2013 18:31

My sister said they crippled her.

Rooners · 15/09/2013 18:33

Yes I don't disbelieve it! Smile

The boots though seem VERY comfy...nice flexible soles and hard enough leather to be strong but not so hard it rubs. Not worn them though so I could be wrong!

I think anything with edges or straps would be seriously sore.

OP posts:
ProtectiveMother · 16/09/2013 19:59

They'd be too small for me but thanks for the offer. I'm sure they'll do well on eBay.

Rooners · 17/09/2013 09:26

No problem, yes they will be on ebay as soon as I find a moment to photograph them! Smile

OP posts:
Rooners · 17/09/2013 09:27

Fwiw - the lined ones are a much much better fit, thank goodness - just for future reference.
The linings are very thick.
