Retin-A pizza face

Why oh why didn't I leave my face alone? :(

My skin was looking good but then me being me I decided to buy some retin-a as I read I should start using it to prevent wrinkles. I am late forties and have few wrinkles but I decided to start preventing them in case my face starts to rapidly collapse.

Day one, great. Day two three and four I look like a pizza. I applied every other day, a total of two times.

Spots galore. Big white juicy pimples. The sort you squeeze and they are gone. But these haven't gone, they remain sore and the peeling skin just adds to the zombie like appearance.

In between the spots the skin has peeled and revealed lovely skin, large pores reduced to barely being seen.

But I now have to deal with looking like shit.

Saved by Avene skin recovery cream, calming formula from Boots.

Individual spots were treated with Boots skin clear one touch spot stick.

Now my skin is almost back to normal thanks to these two products.

I will use the retin-a again but not on my nose or chin and will use it in the Crows feet area as I didn't have any bad reaction there, only on my nose, area between my nose and top lip and my chin.

It's fine it just takes time. :) It not necessarily a bad reaction - just it accelerates the rate of growth so the old stuff peels off, they warn about pimples, it just takes a bit more time.

Thank you crumbledwalnuts. I did actually laugh at first because on the day it all reacted/came out, I got up went to the loo and then looked in the mirror and I jumped because I looked like Freddy Kruger!

Just so thankful that I am single at the moment as I would have died waking up next to a partner looking like that!
