Total beauty revelation!

I am ashamed Blush that I have never grasped this in 20+ years of washing my own hair. I have had since puberty hair that naturally becomes greasy quite quickly - I have to wash it every day without fail. I was reading some old greasy hair threads on S&B in the hope of picking up tips for products etc. and my epiphany happened.

I AM NOT SUPPOSED TO COMB CONDITIONER THROUGH THE ROOTS, JUST THE ENDS!!!

I have ignored that bit for so long and combed it through my whole hair rather than just putting it on the ends. The last couple of days I have been just putting it on the ends and my fine, silky greasy hair now has more volume and is not greasy by the end of the day. I am still washing it every day though as I worry about it lasting through the second day. But I am going to try a silk pillowcase and an apple cider vinegar rinse this weekend and see what happens.

Anyone else ever had a beauty revelation like this?

I had the same one about 6 months ago along with silicone free shampoo & conditioner.

I can now wash every third day!

I have the same hair OP, and still remember it was Mizz magazine that taught me to apply conditioner below the ears only Grin

Jemima Which ones do you use? I saw a Timotei one in the pound shop, keep meaning to try it!

The only thing I remember from Mizz magazine is how to apply blue eyeliner and mascara, along with the freebies to do it.As a naturally dark brunette I must've looked a right tw@t!

Finally I've tried a few, the only ones that have worked for me are Liz Earle shampoo & conditioner & the timotei one.

I bought a gliss one from bodycare last week for fine & damaged hair but haven't tried it yet.

Will check out my pound shop for timotei and stock up!
