I've been invited to a wedding with some minor celebs, the pressure to impress is a bit much.

I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal at heart so I haven't quite got some of the suggestions that have been offered to me when I've been out shopping. I'm also quite shy and not into the whole celebrity nonsense - I seriously am the worst person to have been invited to this, I'm sure there are people out there who would enjoy the hell out of this night...

Mumsnet S&B Queens please help! The dress code is cocktail dress, no hats, no fascinators.

Would I be wrong in buying this?

I know they aren't technically cocktail dresses... but do you think i would get away with it with the designer clad, z-list celebs?

The first one is the one worn by Claudia Winkleman to the GQ Awards so it has minor celeb status already!

You guys have made me feel so much better already! Don't know about shoes, I can't walk in heels unfortunately but thought if I was in Zara I could hopefully find something there...any suggestions?

Ideas below..... but sorry only one pair are -even close to-- complete flats!

Quite low

Slightly higher

Low again but more out there!

Again mid height!

I have these, cheap as chips and look great on! View the catwalk for a better idea... Also the colour would be perfect next to navy
