Ankle boots, opinions needed!

So I went into Next today and tried these on, as I'd seen them recommended in a thread on here:

They look nice but the soles are solid and slippey so walking in them was like wearing flippers as they just wouldn't give at all when I walked

I'm now looking at either:

Don't like your first link, sorry. I like the other two. Depends on which leg height is best on you.

Don't apologise Lurking, I need the honest truth. I'm 5'5 but am often mistaken for being taller as my legs are quite long. Are there any rules to go by for which leg height will look best?

I love the third and fourth pairs. Really nice.

I think it's worth thinking about what you plan to wear them with, when deciding what ankle boots to buy. The lower cut ones, while not really my taste (none if them hugely float my boat, to be frank), are probably more versatile. Especially when wearing with jeans. Higher ones can be tricky with skinny jeans, unless they are super skinny.

I like the last pair the most as they're the least fussy.

I like ankle boots with skinnies, the thing to look outfir is boots that are not too wide at the ankle.

I think skinnies with kneehigh s just a bit boring now

Ok, I'm going to go and try on pairs 3 and 4 ASAP. Is the 20% off code online Frankie? I'm looking forward to going into Clarks and figuring out what shoes actually fit me (rather than going for a size 6 instead of a 5 because my feet are wide, and wearing thick socks to make up for it), but can then order them online if there's a code floating around?
