It's boot time! I want something flat-ish, knee length, rounded toe.

I quite like Timberland Apley's, but they are a bit too chunky I think?

The most importnant feature I'm looking for is 'not-mumsy'.

What are you coveting this year?

By not-mumsy, what do you mean?

I LOVE Fly London boots, but hey're too narrow for my stupid feet. Sad

These are perfect, but too expensive.

I'll stop talking to myself now . . .

I bought these last year. Have had many completes about them. www.linzi.com/prod.php?id=518393_colour_brandynappa

opeaches the first pair you have linked are riding boots.. For riding horses in?! So they aren't "mumsy" casual wear, the are suited to their job! I can't see anyone picking them out for everyday wear Hmm

Surely these are the very definition of mumsy?

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/09/2013 07:37

I found some lovely brown ones in Aldo but they're too wide for my skinny calves.

Im still looking so interested in what people find. I dont like any linked on here so far Grin

I'm not great at links but Laura Ashley have brown and 20% off.

Fairyloo · 01/09/2013 07:49

Oh fuck I have been wearing mumsy boots

OPeaches · 01/09/2013 07:49

Foxy, they look pretty good, and I like the price a lot!

Eric, where I live a surprising amount of people do wear their riding boots for everyday wear. I'm not really sure why. Maybe it's like a badge saying "I've got a horse and lots of expensive equipment"?

Fairyloo, if you like them, wear them! Don't take any notice of what anyone else thinks.

I bought a pair from Duo last year. A little expensive but not ridiculous. Loads of styles and you can specify the width of the foot and the calf. I lived in mine and they wore really nicely. Going to get a pair in black this year.

Ericismine I quite like the boots that are 'mumsy' (the M and S ones) which confirms what I already knew - I am a mum and Mumsy AGGHH - what to do? I like a lot of Boden clothes as well, which many on here think of as mumsy..

Ooh TravelinColour I have those too- have spent the last two winters practically living in them for work as they are so smart but comfy, warm and waterproof. Great for walkingto the station in the snow. I particularly appreciate how the elastic back gives perfect leg-hug with both tights an skinny jeans.
