Should I get these shoes?

I have a couple of casual navy jersery dresses (one plain and one striped) but I hardly wear them in the winter as I never know what tights/shoe combo to go with.
I was thinking of getting these and wearing them with thick navy ribbed tights and the dresses.
Do you think it would look right? And if not - what would look right? I have some brown suede ankle boots and would like an excuse to buy some long brown/tan boots! would that look better?
Any suggestions?

I think the style is perfect (it was exactly what came into my mind when I read your description of the dresses!). But I think you might want to rethink the colour - navy dresses, plus navy tights, plus navy shoes..... Just too much, I think!

The brown suede boots could work well - and long brown boots would be good too. Or the Boden loafers (or similar), but just not in navy.
