What won't you skimp on?

Stylistically and value for money etc what won't you skimp on or economise on even if it means you can only buy one rather than lots of the cheaper equivalent?

I won't skimp on shoes. The cheap ones fit badly and and horribly uncomfortable. And coats for warmth. I spend a fortune on the kid's coats and shoes too. Cheaper anything else is easier to pull off.
