I, can you help me find a plain off-white shirt for work? The sort I can year with a suit but also looks good on its own. I would like to last for ages so I am prepared to spend a bit for the perfect shirt. Thanks.

I think I've found it! www.next.co.uk/women/tailored-looks/city-tailoring/10

It's really sharp and flattering on the waist, the color is a soft white so it should go with everything. It has a bit of a sheen to it, but in a good way. I love it!

that was easy :)

Oh no! The shirt is not good after all - far too shiny in daylight and the white is too harsh. It's going back. It might look better in a different color, but I need off white. Back to square one!

try M&S - they have good very good basic shirts.

also - Thomas Pink/TM Lewin women's lines are nice.

AND - if you really want to spend more places like Joseph should have white shirts or Nicole Farhi maybe.

It's all about the fit - you have to try on every shirt you can find to get the one that works for your shoulders/waist/torso length/arms.. My perfect shirt is very unlikely to work for you.
