Clothes in larger sizes

Why, oh why, do shops seem to think that women in larger sizes look good in polyester or chiffon floaty, flowery or animal print clothes?

Looking at www.evans.co.uk (for example) and it doesn't seem remotely stylish or comfortable. They all seem to be designed to add pounds and make the wearer really sweaty and uncomfortable.

Where are all the lovely, cooling, cotton clothes that are slimming?

Evans had really gone off the boil IMHO, all those tops with a lower bit at the back than the front. Regular evans trousers are too short for me, but many styles not in a long, yet M&S regular are perfect on me!

M&S regular are perfect on me as well. I used to buy their long trousers but now they are too long - as of about 2 years or so ago I think.
Everywhere else I need long, 31" minimum inside leg, I think most places only go to 29" on regular trousers.

I have bought dresses from house of fraiser and Debenhams. The range is limited but if you can deal with the sou destroying search you can find some gems.

And decent stuff to wear to the gym...not cotton, decent wicking fabric, may as well ask for a unicorn turd

I buy most of my stuff from Boden. Don't really like any 'specialist' plus size retailers.

What pees me off is how much viscose is around. It brings me out in a sweat. I can wear Polyester and acrylic but not Viscose. Honestly my forehead and neck get wringing wet and so does my back. Everytime I look at somethig and think "Oh that's nice" I check the material and yep, viscose. Dammit!

Clothes in larger sizes are the holy grail. It's either frump heaven or mother of the bride. There is no middle ground IMO . Evans is woeful and over priced. I have looked on the Bon Prix website and hope to order a few things on there. There really is a market for well cut good quality reasonably priced plus size wear. Simply Be etc just disappoints me I hate those body con dresses that ""accentuate yor curves" they don't they just look stupid. Why oh why do dresses only come in a length that either falls just below the knee or just above the knee most plus sizes prefer mid to lower calf especially over 35 year olds who wants to expose their knees if you are plus size ? Although I appreciate lots of lovely plus size ladies have shapely legs but I don't ;(
