Using permanent dye and henna together

I usually use lush henna on my hair. Unfortunately, I just have way too much grey now for henna to be able to keep up and have gone over to the dark side of permanent box dye.

Can I keep using the henna as a conditioning treatment? I think I read somewhere that it might make my hair go green but I've it both on my head right now and it seems ok...

Lush henna probably won't make your hair go green as they use pure henna and don't mix it with other chemicals. Obviously they mix it with nice smelling natural stuff and cocoa butter, but that's it. So I guess you could.

Personally I wouldn't, instead I would use a little of their Jasmine and Henna Fluff-Ease hair mask, you leave it on for 30 minutes before washing and it's great stuff and smells amazing too. That should condition your hair all you need. You could also try a more natural chemical dye like Naturetint in combination with Fluff-Ease, I have stopped dyeing my hair but when I did I really liked Naturtint. Not to be confused with Herbatint which looks similar but wrecks hair.

But I like the conditioning + extra hair-dyeing qualities of the henna...

I'm going to over-process my hair, aren't I?

Daniel Field Watercolour is a good mineral dye. Keeps your hair in lovely condition.
