Need to get DD school shoes. Anyone got any idea when the quieter times might be? Not relishing the "deli counter take a ticket" scrum!

About two weeks ago. Sorry. Hell on earth from now until next week.

Your best bet us probably the minute it opens.

blibblibs · 26/08/2013 23:12

You can phone and get a time slot at our local store (although I don't go because the fitters & shoes are rubbish!)

lambfam · 27/08/2013 10:02

you can book an appointment online or phone the store, then you dont need to queue.

bigTillyMint · 27/08/2013 10:03

Get there at first opening?

GwendolineMaryLacey · 27/08/2013 10:05

Recommend making an appt if you can. My heart sank when I walked into our packed store last week but they called out my name and we were seen straight away.

CiderwithBuda · 27/08/2013 10:12

Didn't even have to take a ticket at our local one last week as they had staff ready and waiting. In and out with shoes in ten minutes!

Apparently you can book a slot online too.

Last week I went to our local outlet soon after opening, and got seen within about 10 minutes. I'd suggest either going straight at opening (or booking an appt in advance) or just before closing.

thanks, braved it today. ~The place was heaving with kids and mummies but they had loads of staff. A ten minute wait, this was longer than DD took to choose her shoes!!
