Alternative to Vaseline tins?

I really like the texture of the little pots of Vaseline, but I hate having greasy fingers afterwards. I thought my prayers had been answered when they brought out Vaseline in sticks, but there's something in it (presumably so it all holds together) that seems to create these flakes of stuff that catch in my throat.

Can anyone recommend something that comes in a tube rather than a pot that doesn't have that waxy quality? I've heard good things about the Burts Bees balms, but they are ££ compared to the Vaseline and I don't want to waste money on them if they're no better.

I am totally addicted to the Norwegian formula sticks, they are abut more moisturising than most and you get a nice sheen. Not too expensive either. They aren't flavoured or coloured though.

I really like Boots essential lip salve and it is only 99p. I don't think it is waxy at all. I have then in every handbag and coat pocket. They are my hero product for the price.

Carmex? I think its called that. Comes in a yellow tube that you squeeze rather than twist up so its same texture as vaseline.
