Does anyone here contour & highlight?

I have a big baby face and would like to give this whole contouring thing a bash. I was never very good at art in school and thought I'd seek some advice before I cake my face in lines and light powder. Blush

Does/can anybody contour & highlight? Is it as easy as the youtube tutorials suggest, what is the likelihood of me looking like an absolute clown and what makeup (plus makeup brushes) would you recommend? Confused

I am very pale with blue undertones if that helps. TIA! Grin

Ruby I do occasionally, I think it's reasonably easy if you use cream products and a cream foundation so it all blends seamlessly. I have an Illamasqua cream pigment called Hollow and a hideously expensive Tom Ford contour/highlighter palette but I am very pale so I'm limited in the shades I can use without looking like Coco The Clown.

I like to contour and highlight as I have a round face! It's pretty simple once you get the hang of it. My fave highlighters are Mary Lou manizer by TheBalm and soft and gentle by MAC. Both shades work well for my skin and I am pretty fair! As for contour shades, as you're very pale try and stick to taupe colours as these will have a bit of a grey tone and mimic natural shadow better rather than a bronzer or something too brown. Use a light hand and blend out well. Hope it turns out ok for you. Smile
