I have to share this amazing foundation/BB cream

It's actually BB cream but as I'm old fashioned and don't really know what that is I'm just calling it foundation.

Found it by accident mooching round boots.

It's the botanics radiant youth BB cream. God it's truly amazing, makes my skin look dewy and youthful, I'm pale but think the medium looks better. I'm amazed that at 10pm at night it looks as great as at 10am in themorning.

After years of buying YSL and more recently that Estée Lauder shite that makes me look like a corpse I am over the moon to find one like this an £8 for 50ml GrinGrin

Let us know what the vitamin e stuff is like. I bought the vitamin e scrub but haven't used that yet either

I went to boots today but there is far too much choice in the botanics range, I couldn't decide what I needed or wanted so will just use what I've got for now.

Does anyone use the botanics facial oil? Currently using neals yard but if this is as good I might change Smile

It means Beauty Balm basically foundation, moisturizer in one. there is so many now, I found Nivea one too greasy for my mixed skin.

Just bumping this to say thanks. I bought the Botanics bb cream after this thread and find it amazingly good. Have had compliments galore on my face!

I bought this recently and the jury is still out - I am quite fair but have a tan from the summer and though I bought the medium im wondering if its a shade too light at the moment.
That said, I like the texture it gives my skin- maybe it will look better in the winter.

Do you all wear moisturiser or day cream underneath it, or just the bb cream as is?

SprinkleLiberally · 08/09/2013 10:01

I wear on its own.

I have v dry skin so am wearing with the whole shebang. (moisturiser and primer)

For a truly flawless finish I can recommend a layer of BB then a few dobbles of Bourjois Health Mix over your imperfect bits. Grin

I still use oil and moisturiser but not primer

I bought this yesterday. I'm very pale but bought the medium, I'm still unsure whether it's still too light or not. I'll know tomorrow in work, people are always asking me if I'm tired if i wear a pale foundation bastards.

I didn't like it when i first put it on but after about 10 minutes it seemed to settle into my face Confused and I really like it. I think I'm a bit allergic to it, it's given me very rosy cheeks.
It's a bit thicker than the Garniers BB cream. I like a good coverage, my skin's not great, and this is fine.

Thank you thank you! I absolutely love it. Will never spend tons again on skincare/makeup again - this on it's own is enough to make me look okish in the morn-with 7 week old Baby it's a miracle!

Off to trawl for other bargain threads. Please review the other botanics products anyone.....

Eve-look at that cleanser thread I mentioned earlier, many bargains on that!

The botanicas organic cleanser is gorgeous, it smells like origins and is a fraction of the price.

Bought it today - went for the light one as I am pale so hoping its ok and if not they will let me change it for the medium. Looking forward to trying it in the morning :)

Thanks. I think it is a little too light for me at the moment sadly, but I'll be keeping it for when my tab has faded!
Has anyone tried the bourgeois bronzing bb cream? It looks good but as its a bit pricier I'm not sure.

I'm not looking radiant...... Since I will only be getting paler do I keep it or change it??......

I got the brightening cleanser-too stingy for my sensitive skin! I'll stick to my super drug Liz Earle rip off.

I've got an unopened tube of the light one but I'm beginning to think it will always be too pale for me because the medium is really quite light on me (even though I think of myself as pale Confused). Do you think Boots would exchange for a medium even without the receipt?

Report
valiumredhead · 09/09/2013 11:15

Boots are very good at exchanging ime.

Just bought this on your recommendation. It's fab - thank you! Like a few others upthread, the medium is ever so slightly too pale atm as I have the remains of a tan, but the texture is fab. Much better than the Garnier which is a tad greasy for me.
