I have to share this amazing foundation/BB cream

It's actually BB cream but as I'm old fashioned and don't really know what that is I'm just calling it foundation.

Found it by accident mooching round boots.

It's the botanics radiant youth BB cream. God it's truly amazing, makes my skin look dewy and youthful, I'm pale but think the medium looks better. I'm amazed that at 10pm at night it looks as great as at 10am in themorning.

After years of buying YSL and more recently that Estée Lauder shite that makes me look like a corpse I am over the moon to find one like this an £8 for 50ml GrinGrin

The L'Oreal one tango'd me.

I paid £8.99 for mine. I did wonder about the 1/3 off but figured BB counts as makeup not skincare.

I tried some on this morning and then went back this afternoon and got some because it still looked good on
I paid £5.99

I was initially charged £8.99. I went back to the shelf and saw that it had a label for £5.99 so went back to the counter. She gave me a refund of £3.00

I have worn it this evening and it looks good.

I think it varies by store. I saw it for £8.99 in Boots Waterloo Station today but then picked some up in the Tottenham Court Road branch for £5.99. That said, the former shop doesn't tend to do many promotions. Can't wait to try it tomorrow!

Bought one today on the strength of this thread, hoping it works wonders!

Charged £8.99 as well - the girl at the till corrected it after I pointed out it was on sale.

Oh dear (said I'd report back)

The Botanics one settled in my pores after a few hours, and my face went very shiny. I could actually see little dots of BB cream on my cheeks.

Went straight back to the Garnier one - it lasts me over 12 hours with just a bit of blotting on my nose.

I may try the Botanics one again with a bit of primer under it, as I do like the colour, not a trace of Oompa Loompa.

DD has a good primer she keeps recommending to me so I might "borrow" it (Benefit I think)

Every foundation on the market does that to me-settles in my pores-except the botanics one!

If you want a good primer then lanacane anti chaff gel is exactly the same as the expensive smash box one! I kid you not.

JustBecauseICan · 03/09/2013 19:24

I was on the meds counter the other day and spotted the Lanacane and couldn't remember what it was for! Isn't Preparation H pile cream good for eye wrinkles as well?

I think so but never tried itGrin

I've bought it and impressed too - on the skin it feels and lasts more like a dewy light/medium foundation than a tinted moisturiser IFYKWIM?

I was overcharged too (and have subsequently got a refund for the difference)!

It seems like quite a big deal that we're all being overcharged, drawing it to the attention of Boots, but they keep on with the overcharging rather than updating the pricing on their system? At best that's poor form...at worst isn't it contravening trading standards?

Thanks for heads up Mosschops! Like you I got the Botanics one in Medium. It seems to soften my red bits and does make the skin look better (though may be the sunlight - my skin always looks better in summer!!). It goes on nicely, I love it!

Thank you so much for recommending the boots radiant youth cream. It looks so good on my skin and smells amazing! Boots have it on offer for £5.99 (normally £8.99), so I took the leap today.

It's been hot here today, no sign of shininess at all it's a miracleGrin

I;m quite impressed so far although today I squeezed far too much out and had to wash off some. A little goes a long way.
I did get a spot on my nose so will be keeping an eye on that, it's stuff with spf that seems to cause spots with me.
