I have to share this amazing foundation/BB cream

It's actually BB cream but as I'm old fashioned and don't really know what that is I'm just calling it foundation.

Found it by accident mooching round boots.

It's the botanics radiant youth BB cream. God it's truly amazing, makes my skin look dewy and youthful, I'm pale but think the medium looks better. I'm amazed that at 10pm at night it looks as great as at 10am in themorning.

After years of buying YSL and more recently that Estée Lauder shite that makes me look like a corpse I am over the moon to find one like this an £8 for 50ml GrinGrin

I'm just trying out Smashbox which has a SPF of 35 for my combination skin.

I'm currently using the Kiehl's one and it's fab, but yes, I need something cheaper!

The boots ones are all orange and claggy. Only someone with a vested interest would praise them.

Do you know if any of them give a matte finish? I've decided dewy=shiny and doesn't suit me.

I'm a big fan of sanctuary bb cream, not orange either

The garnier oil free for combination skin is great, doesn't clog up my pores and doesn't look too matte.

I'm confused. Or possibly stupid. Do you use moisturiser + bb cream + foundation?

Report
womblingalong · 27/08/2013 21:28

BB cream is moisturiser & light foundation all in one, so you shouldn't need to use moisturiser and foundation as well.

And CC takes it that bit further? I realised today that I am now too old and sun damaged to go out bare faced every day and need just a bit of coverage. While I use my hard core glycolic acid stuff nightly this winter to try and restore my face a bit. Its only getting grimmer and grimmer.

It says you can use moisturiser or use it alone.
I use both.
It also means you don't need primer

I find BB cream has more coverage than tinted moisturiser but is much less heavy than foundation. I use garnier but may try botanics next.

I've got some! I liked it so far, just tried some on in the carGrin good coverage and good colour. Jury is out as to whether dewy looks ok on me....

I use the Garnier BB cream & love it (the one in the tube - the red jar is SHITE though, slides on and slides off in the same moment!). It has really good coverage which I've found is a problem with some of the rest (can't remember which other ones I've tried but there were one or two)

Have just bought the Botanics one, will report back....

I really like the No 7 bb cream. Pretty much exactly between a tinted moisturiser and a foundation which is just right for me.
