Footner - anyone used it?

Currently got my feet in the plastic bags, feels a bit weird. Sali Hughes raved about them. Anyone else given it a go? I am too lazy to use the many foot files and lotions that I have so thought i'd give the hard skin eating gel a go.

I did it last week. It was disgusting. And fabulous Grin

Soak your feet in warm water every night for the next few days to really get things going.

FreeButtonBee · 25/08/2013 21:15

I do love a bit of peeling skin - sunburn is awesome particularly when it comes off in one sheet! So can't wait for the peeling to commence. Bring. It. On.

Did it a couple of weeks ago. Disgusting. Really disgusting and then fabulous. Thought for the first few days that I'd wasted my money as nothing happened (apart from my feet feeling damp) then the peeling started. Results- feet better than they have been in decades.

LakeFlyPie · 25/08/2013 21:49

Gosh, 5-10 days for results? That sounds a bit peculiar, what's the active ingredient?
Not sure it would suit my impatient personality or propensity for picking and poking.
My callused heels could definitely do with it though, maybe I will give it a go.
How long does The Peel go on for?

reup · 25/08/2013 21:53

Do you just use the pack only once?

Do you think it would peel of veruccas too?

FreeButtonBee · 25/08/2013 22:02

You wear the bags for up to an hour. I put a pair of tight hiking socks on over the bags and then my sheepskin slippers so I could walk about (am small baby wrangling this evening).

You can't reuse but I think the results are supposed to last a good few weeks.

Can't wait. My feet feel softer already, certainly the gel seems to hve had a effect already

I am on day five! For three days nothing happened, but that's because I just take quick showers. I had a long soak in the bath and I could see big strips of skin coming away, my feet looked like jellyfish! Grin So I think you have to have a long soak every day to help it along.

So far only the dryish skin has come away, the leathery areas on my heels have only just started to flake this evening. If it all comes away I'll be a fan of this brand for life!

LakeFlyPie · 25/08/2013 22:24

I usually swim 2-3 times a week, this isn't for me is it?!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 25/08/2013 22:28

I really want these ! Where did you get them ?

rootypig · 25/08/2013 22:37

lakefly my peeling lasted three days, so you could squeeze it in.

Ken from Boots, they're really poplar at the mo so I would order online and pick up in store. Buy one get one half price now.

PomBearArmy · 26/08/2013 11:04

I think it may depend how much dry skin is on your feet, I'm on day three of peeling but my heels and the balls of my feet are only starting to peel now. The box says exfoliation could continue for up to two weeks (mind boggles!) which is why they say you shouldn't do another treatment until three weeks have passed.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 26/08/2013 17:09

Thank you ! Found them - I was worried they would take the Shellac off my toes so will wait til my next lot is due .

MrsHavisham · 26/08/2013 21:33

I bought the Purederm version fot about £4 plus £4 postage on amazon. Very good, and less than half the price of Footner.

HappyHugs · 26/08/2013 21:38

I used them last Monday, peeling by Friday and I think it may be over now. Feet are hugely improved but not yet 100%; balls of feet and heels about 80% improved, rest of foot 100%....sort of hoping theres more peeling to come...

PomBearArmy · 26/08/2013 23:46

I would recommend that if you have quite leathery skin on your feet, you file them down as much as possible first, because I think the footner literally takes the top layer off your skin.

My feet definitely look pinker, and the footner has been great for freshening up the areas I wouldn't think to exfoliate (like the toes!) but I doubt that it's going to exfoliate any deeper than it already has.

trippleM · 26/08/2013 23:58

Thanks for the alert about the offer. I've been meaning to get some of this stuff for ages, a and have just ordered some. Can't wait to try it! I love peely things and have got horrid old hooves at the moment. Bring on the twinkletoes!

Re socks - TMI alert - I had bare feet last night after my bath, and looked down at one point in the evening to see the cat eating some of the dead skin that had fallen onto the carpet! It's best to put socks on once your feet are dry! And though you're told not to pull at the exfoliating skin, you can cut away the long bits.

FreeButtonBee · 27/08/2013 13:04

I am on day 2. The skin on my feet looks pretty dry so I am covering them up. No massive peels just yet. But definitely some areas are starting to look pretty scaley.

Hurry up, peely skin!

Perhaps this will replace my cradle cap picking for a few weeks. DTs are looking nice and clear at the moment - I'm gutted!

I did my feet and 7-10 later my feet started peeling.

Had a shower every morning and bath in the evening and for a couple of says I look like I foot dandruff! I can now say a week post peel feet look great.

Now I have baby soft feet will maintain with Flexitol heel balm I think.

Expensive but lived up to the hype......

Littlepumpkinpie · 31/08/2013 21:25

Just taken my Footner socks off and hope for baby feet very soon. It was this thread earlier in the week that made me stick this on my boots shopping list. Any further peeling updates are you all pleased with the results so far?

rootypig · 31/08/2013 21:56

OP I loove picking cradle cap
Such huge satisfying flakes Grin
Sadly DD not so keen

Ina16 · 13/01/2014 17:20

Hello girls! I have just tried the Footner Socks! The results are really good-smooth baby skin on my feet :-)

burnishedsilver · 13/01/2014 17:29

Out of interest, do your shoes hurt you when your feet have no hard skin? Thats the concern that is making me hesitate about doing it.
