Jackets - on the hunt

Still looking for the right jacket and need a bit of a kick up the arse from you lot, I think.

I'm quite drawn to this one from White Company but don't wear much black so unsure.

Also been thinking about leather so considering this one or this one.

I'll be wearing jewel colours, navy, some cream and camel and mainly tan riding boots or navy suede boots (or wellies!) mixe in with a pair of chunky ankle boots if I can find the right ones to replace the battered old Russell and Bromley ones that won't survive another winter.

Is there a clear winner here, or is there somewhere else I should be looking?

The White company one looks a bit granny-ish to me. Not sure about the fabric either. It looks the type that will go bobbly.

1st leather one is lovely from the back, but awful fussy from the front.

2nd leather one I love! I'd order it myself but already have 2 leather jackets so cannot really justify it.

I've revisited all three and they just don't look like 'the one'. I do love the last leather one but actually I think I want something a bit cosy, which a leather jacket ain't.

I do see what you mean about the White company one. I tried it on this weekend and wasn't bowled over but it just seems like the best of a bad bunch, I suppose. I'm really struggling!

Really dislike the middle one, sorry. The WC one could be good and could be awful. The third one is okay.

Marcheline · 25/08/2013 20:41

Thanks Remus, I needed that. Can see that the middle one is fugly, to be honest.

Any suggestions? Budget is £200 and finding it tricky.

What is your priority - style or warmth?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/08/2013 20:48

Would you consider just a bog standard leather biker? Warehouse and Oasis both do decent ones at good prices.

This?

Lovely

thenightsky · 25/08/2013 21:03

I've got one very similar to that Oasis one and I get loads of wear out of it.

Marcheline · 25/08/2013 21:05

I'd like to say style, but probably warmth is most important.

The warehouse one is lovely, but not in stock in my size.
