An impossible bag search?

Further to my disaster post re. my possibly ruined handbag. I am looking for a replacement.

I have a budget of £200. I need something that is easy to carry, preferably across the body (as I have a bad back), goes with everything, can be worn day or night and has a decent amount of space.

I am I asking too much?? Is this possible?!

I just got this from the Shopbop sale for less than 200 pounds though mine was in brown. Holds loads and I use it when cycling to work, not sure if I would use it at night though. It's very well made.

That's nice but would prefer something brown or tan I think

I always struggle with the day or night thing - I just don't think one bag can do both. Some suggestions

Would leave budget over to get separate evening bag?

Kezztrel · 25/08/2013 17:45

One of these?

Or these?

Nadalsballs · 25/08/2013 17:53

I like all of those but think the mimi ones may be too small. Am gutted as I had a mulberry satchel that I may have just ruined Hmm

I can't afford another one so looking for something else that does the job.

Nadals - can you see if any of the Mulberry outlets have anything in budget? I have seen Antony satchels there for about £200 iirc. They will post out if you don't live near one.

I have a Peony & Moore Mariella that I love, I don't use the across the body strap, but it does have one. All their bags are in that general price range.

I think the Georgia is very cute too, but that colour is a bit summery which is probably why it's on sale.

Nadalsballs · 29/08/2013 19:03

I love the mariella! That's definitely a contender and just what I'm looking for.

Coach have some great bags, are are now in the UK. Unfortunately, their UK website is rubbish, so you need to look at the styles on their US site What about:

roomy, crossbody or over the shoulder

smaller and better to go into night

cross body or small handbag

love this one, but probably too small for you

Here are several more along the lines of the first choice on the site here.

I've got the Peony & Moore Mariella bag, bloody love it. Got it in pink from couple years ago & still going strong.... I agree, Georgia is lush too terribletantrums...

I've just bought this one Jack Wills Pembroke.

It's fab, really roomy and can be used as a shoulder bag or across the body, the longer strap is removable.
