Really particular about my hair which is usually a pale, creamy blonde (highlights)- had same hairdresser for over 10 years and then had to move around for work. As a result, over the past 2 years it has all gone a bit wrong with new hairdressers, over processing, going almost white/grey rather than blonde etc. Went to a new hairdresser yesterday who were SUPPOSED to be superb (just moved to new area) to get this sorted out and back to creamy, pale blonde. So excited about it (plus the 4 hours to myself which has had to be planned with military precision- literally).

Anyway, my roots are now pale orange/ginger and very brassy. There is a distinct line of brassy orange/ yellowness at the roots where the new dye has gone on. Horrified. Even OH said that he didn't realise I wanted to go ginger Shock NOT the pale blonde I wanted. Have purple shampoo (with cobwebs on as haven't used it due to whiteness of hair recently) so whacked that on the roots and it's taken some of the glare out, but still ginger roots.

I HATE the thought of complaining though & going back in on Tuesday - though I'm usually pretty good at it, and will complain and stand up for people (as is part of my job, actually) but this fills me with horror. Which is silly because it's not what I wanted at all, I have paid them, but I still don't want to do it. Can people please just tell me to grow some balls and do it please?

Problem is, OH away from tues and no possible babysitter for two weeks and my DS, at 11 months, will not be happy about sitting in a hairdressers if I need it redone for 4 hours. AAAAARGH.

They haven't left the bleach on for long enough, so it hasn't had enough time to lift your hair to the stage needed. The only thing which I think will sort it is to have your roots re-bleached again or maybe if you have a toner then drop that down a shade or 2. I suggest you go back to the salon & ask them to fix it, I'm sure they will be more than happy to. Would you be able to take lots of things for your dc to do while in there to keep them entertained or try & time it while they have a nap in the buggy.
