Too early for a boot query?

Hoping for some boot advice. Have many nice pairs but I'm going to be pregnant all winter and I suffer from the ol' swollen ankle thing. I'm hoping to invest in one pair of boots that will go with skinny jeans and leggings / tights and a dress as that's my pregnancy wardrobe.

Is this even possible? Would you go mid calf but wide fit or ankle boot? Need a flat or small heel as I do a lot of running around with a toddler.

Help me please!

I'll be watching this with interest as I have the same question. Although I'm not pregnant I do have chubby legs Need good grip too.

I've seen lots of lovely pairs on Clarks website so I will need to go into store and try a few pairs on.

I really don't know whether to go for ankle, calf or knee length. I've lived in trainers and pumps all my life and trying to smarten myself up a bit!

Of course it's not too early! I have just bought some of these for autumn. With this style or something similar (or there is a calf length or ankle length version of this too I think) it has a zip up the side, for easy getting on and off, but the laces mean you can adjust it to fit your foot/ankle/calf exactly all the way up - and change the fit if nec - so that might be one solution.

Amazon has a really good selection too.
