Velcro rollers

Shoulder length, heavy thick hair, that can be calmed by the good old Ghd's. However, with it being so heavy I struggle to get any root lift so my hairdresser has suggested getting some Velcro rollers to put in for 20mins or so in the morning to give it a bit of oomph at the root only.

Can anyone suggest what size or a brand or anything as I'm clueless about it should have asked hairdresser I know and also possibly a spray for route lift for when blow drying? Would the 1.99 for 10 large Velcro rollers be up to the job or should I invest in something a little better?

After blowdrying put them in remember to lift and pull them at the same time for root lift, blast them with the hairdryer for a minute or so and take out 20 mins later also try to get the velcro rollers with the silver in the middle, boots do them 4 in a pack i think. I have bought the other cheaper versions but they dont give as much lift.hope this helps!

I had a look on boots.com but couldnt really see any silver / foil backed ones. Maybe they have stopped making the silver inside ones, the ones from amazon look ok, there is also the hair shop "Sallys" google it remember to put uk in the search. You say your hair is thick so i would go for 2 packs.hope this helps
