Which flat shoes for Autumn/Winter?

I really need some new flat shoes for everyday mum duties. They need to go with boyfriend jeans and skinnies, I'm not a big skirt/dress wearer.

I'm a bit bored with the average ballet flats/loafers. I want something with a bit of a new season twist maybe a bit of a pointy toe or a great colour or something a bit new but on a high street budget.

I like some tan suede pointed loafers in Zara which look awful in the picture but have a great pointy shape and look fab on but not sure they will be watertight.

Any ideas? :)

Are you looking for leather? If not you could try M and S and their prerry pumps collection

They are gorgeous and will look great with skinnies. Not sure how'd they look with boyfriend jeans though? And agree re material not being waterproof. I think they'd scuff easily too.

I'd quite like a pair of animal print slipper loafers to brighten up a winters ensemble. Charlotte Olympia do some amazing ones, but they are way too £££. So I'm on the hunt also....

I'm looking for the same thing. I like those loafers but wouldn't they be ruined the first time you got caught in the rain?

I'd really like something like this (although cheaper would be better). Slipper style shoes often look odd on me but the front doesn't come as high as most slipper styles so they might be OK.

I think I probably do want leather. Thanks though.

Glad you like the Zara ones but yes boyfriend jeans do make things tricky. I'm not sure what boots go with boyfirends either. I have chelsea boots and a topshop version of acne pistols but neither looks right with boyfriends :S

Animal print is a very good idea.

Dewey I love those shoes but yes they are a bit £££ I'm thinking a 2 figure number rather than 3! Thanks for ideas though. It helps to scout around.

PicnicPie - These are quite nice and reduced by almost £100! If you are a size 5 they might be what you are after....

Ooh I like. I like. The Boden ones are really nice. Thanks for the suggestions.

Lovely pin. That's what I aspire to. Pointy shoes are definitely on my list then and maybe some leopard print slipper shoes too. Liking the suggestions.
