Help with tops!

After getting loads of very helpful advice about handbags (I went with a red osprey bag from TK Maxx!) I thought I'd ask for some help with work tops!

I wear high waisted trousers for work- practical, comfy, smart and as I'm tall with a 'slim in comparison to the rest of me' waist they look pretty good.

I'm just struggling with tops! I need about 3 or 4 new ones must be:
Washable
Not too low cut
Nothing itchy i.e. real wool
Preferably with sleeves or can wear with a cardigan

I'm a size 12/14 on top with 32GG boobs, short red hair and very pale colouring.
All my trousers are black, grey or brown so something a bit brighter on top would be good!

Any suggestions?

Thank you style advisors!

Thanks! I really like that, would it tuck ok into trousers? The fabric looks nice and thick too

They are great tops for work - you can tuck them in but I usually have them on top iyswim - I have several!

Where do you get your trousers from OP? I love high waisted trousers, but as I'm tall and high waisted myself, I only ever seem to find things that manage to sit on my hips. (Anything "on the waist" is a hipster, and low waisted is indecent!)

I will go and have a look for some nice tops... Grin

This is nice.
Or this.

Both would probably worked either over the top, or tucked in.

The ones linked above are nice, I also like this phase eight top and I am contemplating getting it for work.

Love those! Mrsmangobiscuit eBay mostly, I haven't found many in the shops buy plenty on eBay and very reasonable prices! Just have to check the style and I've moved the zip on a few as they didn't come in enough on my waist but any smaller wouldn't have gone over my huge hips/arse!

Thank you, I shall start searching ebay once I've gotten this child out and I'm more human shaped again! Might actually get a work wardrobe I like for a change! :)

Mrsmangobiscuit I love mine for tucking my post baby tummy into. It feels counter-intuitive but I find trousers that sit on my hips accentuate my widest bit and hoick my belly up making it look worse whilst high waisters that hit my thinnest point sort of skim and wobble!

Exactly, they sort of hold it all in place, and smooth it over. Much more flattering. I also find them much more comfortable as they don't pull down onto my hips (and into my flabby bits) when I sit down.
