Hi All

Ok, here goes I have lost a lot of weight but I´m stuck in a massive rut

I am tall ish, something around a size 16 (size 12 next jeans, size 16 in M and S)

I have a pretty ok hour glass figure.

DH says I have good legs and should show them off, I tend to wear longer skirts and they make me look old.

I have a big bust.

Tummy is a little softer than I would like but a small waist.

I have a lot of loose skin though which I hate

Work clothes I am ok on, what I need is a capsual weekend / fun / go out with friends clothes / school run / Smart but casual stuff

I am still lossing weight so I don´t want to spend a load.

I need links too as I am helpless when I comes to clothes.

My uniform at the moment is boot cut jeans and baggy tops which even make me feel frumpy and ugly if truth be told.

HELP ME PLEASE:

OH and I´m in my 30´s

Have you signed up with Dressipi? They are really good. They do send me a lot of recommendations that are out of my price range but it gives me ideas so I can look for similar slightly cheaper clothes.

OH Smellylittleorange THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I have an open knit jumper from phase eight this style mine in blue and white strips though

I love these jeans high waisted I´m pretty addicted to boot cut would I be ok wearing stright cut like these do you think?

The knit top has a very big scoop neck so if I went for something like this vest top under it would that work? Not sure about colour to be honest.

Like these boots but I also have boots very like these only in tan brown I think the look may work If I tuck the jeans into them as a different option???

Could definately wear the cowl next top not sure on which colour I would think that it may work with jeans and pencil skirt?

Also quite like these but have NO idea if they would work?

fixed wrap top
pretty
Brown

tunic top but Im not sure Would it work with leggings and boots (maybe with flats) for a comfy day?

LOVE this skirt Think it would work with a cowl neck top and either opacs and boots or sheers and high heals?

To be honest I look at this fit and flare dress and start to panic!

I think I could do a wrap dress maybe like this one monsoonpossibly with leggins and boots maybe a wedge boot for day wear and or opacs with a chunky heal. Or with higher heals for going out.

This one I think I could do pricy if it would work and maybe I could strech to it!

I couldn´t afford to do both types of dress though unless I could find one in the sales!

Ok, now I have a "posh" coat for work, I have a waterproof coat for walking the dogs etc but I should never been see in the day in it

Would a coat like this one do for causal wear

Next and I think I love it

To anyone that gets through this and gives me an opinion I am very very very grateful!

Oh I have enough cardigans to sink a small battle ship! water fall, fitted, boyfriend etc. So I think I am ok on that front

Right first off forgot to say earlier many congrats on your weight loss! Don't forget your perception of how your body looks is probably very different to everyone elses

Knit top is lovely, I would wear a longer vest than you suggested in Navy, emerald , burgundy or beige.
Jeans , straight leg is fine but not sure you will be able to wear boots over them

curvy girl straight leg jeans

As an hour glass I find boot cut make me look like am wearing bell bottoms due to my hips and thigh size.

The fixed wrap top is lovely but possibly too short or tight at bottom to wear with jeans so will not do a dual job

I find tops that sit on or below the hips most flattering so the next three are right on the money, phase eight who knew!
Re the tunic top I have one similar in black it is very very versatile get it!

The skirt is chuffin fabulous you have to get it too!

not sure what is scary about the fit and flare dress, you may have to just go and try some on in Dorothy perkins .. All combos you described will work well. Baukjen will last and you will probably get your money back on eBay.

I have been looking at that jacket in next can't make up my mind about it . I feel it has possibility to make you look matronly.

I think you need to go and try it and some fit and flare dresses on!

Oh I need you in a changing room! Not the same changing room obviously I have no idea what I'm doing re no work clothes!

I do have an issue with how I look now I really don't recognize myself when I catch my reflection in a window etc I've lost just over 10 stone (no diet or anything I have some medical problems and take a lot of tablets they changed one and weight started to fall off)

Ok the skirt, 3 tops, tunic are all ordered and on there way! I love phase eight a couple of the staff helped me find some new clothes once they really tried to make me see what I actually looked like (that was 4 stone ago though) actually enjoyed shoping for once that day

I think I might have to go and try a few fit and flare dresses I find it hard to imagine me in anything above knee length but I am starting to realise I dress a lot older than I am ands it making me look both frumpy and a lot bigger than I am.

I tried on an old tunic tonight which is a little above knee length and pinned it as a sort of fit and flare dress it looked ok ish I'm going to have to pluck the nerve up and go and try a couple aren't I? They just look like something slim younge fashionable women should wear

Would I be totally insane or is it worth trying a pair of skinny jeans as well specifically to tuck into boots or should I just stay with leggings etc for that?

Can't decide re the Oliver dress/ wrap dress I think I may try a fit and flare first before I decide

I agree re the next jacket I just fancy a biker jacket (no idea why?)

Would it be ok if I keep picking your brain? I'm out of my comfort zone here and mn is so much better than grabbing random people in changing rooms and asking their opinion

Thanks again

I have the Baukjen dress in 2 colours - it's insanely flattering, I can't recommend it enough. Heavy jersey, the ruching really disguises a tummy but emphasises my waist and somehow sucks everything in.

Well worth the money!
