Hairbrush recommendations needed!

I have long, thick hair that's naturally curly, but I style it wavy or straight as its impossible to control when curly!
I'm in desperate need for a new brush, my current one (a cheap paddle brush) is falling apart, but I don't really know much about different brands, or if I should be looking at natural bristle etc, so was hoping to get some recommendations! I don't mind spending a fair bit as long as it will last me more than a few months.

I am v sorry for the smut, but I read your title as Hairy bush help, sorry Blush

Try a metal round brush with a big barrel if you want it for styling. If you just want to brush it through, a bristle brush or a wide tooth comb.

A Tangle Teaser (google it!) is the god of all hairbrushes. Mine has changed my life.

I've never had much luck with round brushes, I seem to get them stuck in my hair!

That tangle teezer looks brilliant, I wish it had been about when I was trying to deal with my mega curly
mop as a child! May give it a try.

I love the traditional Mason Pearson, or a tangle geezer for wet hair.

Teezer not geezer!
