What the chuffing hell can I wear!

Went to an early evening casual meal with colleagues straight after work on Friday.
The ladies had on all manner of lovely ensembles, things like bright blouses,cool trousers,killer heels,blazers,maxis,midis and clutch bags.
They all looked smart and glam.
I rocked up in leggings and a t shirt
I'm totally shit at picking clothes and I'm very boring.
We will go out for a meal again soon and I don't want to look like scruff anymore.

Please help x

What size/shape are you?
Also what is your hair colour?
Colours you like to wear/colours to avoid?

I am currently helping out a friend in finding nice stuff to wear during her pregnancy, so I can also shop around for you

I've been informed I'm a winter (dark hair and eyes pale skin)

I'm 31 but look like I'm 12.

Everything I own is black grey or navy as that's what feels safe.

I love these little dresses from New Look, that I can do with bare legs and sandals in the summer, or with opaques and boots in the winter:

I also still love my skinny jeans, and I live in these high waisted ones as they feel safe on (no overhang):

I love those jeans with just a simple white fitted shirt and a big chunky necklace, but this pink top could look cute with the dark jeans, and you'd still be in your comfort zone with the jeans? I do also like this top
I'll see if I can come up with other things, but the things I've suggested above are what I live in, along with heels and boyfriend cardigans or my leather jacket

I like the idea of dress with opaques and boots, what kind of boots? And what colour opaques? I think I could be brave enough to wear an ensemble like that.

I tend to just stick to black opaques, but I do covert purple and teal coloured opaques. I haven't been brave enough to get any yet!
Boots wise I'll be going for some ankle boots like these because I live in my heels

a leather jacket like this would look cute, with a girlie dress and opaques. Kind of toughens it up, but the dress still makes it girlie.
I make no claims to be a style icon, but I do tend to find a style I like, that's comfy and doesn't cost a lot to update... (I also don't work for New Look, I just live there!)

Looooove the jacket and I'm proud to say I own boots very similar to both those styles.

I'm gonna trot myself off to new look on my next day off and have a proper look.

I do sometimes find warehouse sizes on the smaller side in some things. Also H&M has dresses like the new look ones in nice summery colours. And cheap bangles/bracelets/rings/necklaces from places like primark, new look and H&M can completely dress up a simple outfit

Hi tuppence i purchased a black fit and flare dress from DP its smart casual I think?
I also hit new look for the jeans they are beautiful. more purchases to be made soon.
