..and wondering what I will be! I cannot work it out for myself at all so will be interesting to see how much of my black wardrobe I will have to chuck out (unless I am a winter)! I'm going with HoC.

Interesting that she said we are naturally drawn to the colours that suit us. I just think there are a lot of colours that probably suit us that we'd never think would and wouldn't try which is why it's useful getting someone to work it out for you. Glad you were so pleased with the result.

I'm a deep summer, and strangely I was wearing all the right colours at my colours day too :)

Theresmore - how have you found finding things like shoes, coats etc in the colours? I dress fairly neutrally and am wondering about that aspect?

Hard to be honest. Browns are often too tan coloured, and black is out. This year there's lots more coloured shoes and boots around in greys and navy though. My coats are grey, navy or purple. Kettlewell clothes might not be for you, but it's useful to see how the summer colours can work together.

Any guesses as to what I might be. (there is a photo of me on my "ghost beard" thread, but my hair was lighter then). Anyway, pale skin, green eyes with a navy blue edge to the iris and gold/rust flecks. Fair hair, (naturally light brown/darkest blonde), with highlights so caramelish. Very dark eyebrows. (Not sure if the colour of my hair madly suits me at the moment). I think in clothes I suit a sort of vivid slightly olive green. But other than that am lost! I don't suit bright blue.

Hellymelly - it's too hard to self diagnose. I tried for ages but in the end bit the bullet and paid out as I think it'll save money and guesswork in the future.

Theresmore - my winter coat is black and new last winter Hmm but I suppose if I got scarf and gloves in a wow shade it would counteract that? I do like the bright colours for tops etc with jeans but still need to be pretty neutral for work and with accessories etc. I've looked at the Kettlewell website which looks pretty good for basics and seems a fairly easy (lazy) way to shop for your season Smile

I'm a deep brown summer, I have best colours of madder rose, mushrooms colours, French navy, the dark emeraldy green and plum! I was really hard to diagnose too , sometimes I wonder if she got it right. However, when I wear the lighter colours my mum says I do look better, so hopefully I was diagnosed properly!

I think perhaps deep or brown summers are the hardest to diagnose. She firstly thought I was an autumn but on the cusp of winter, but winter tones were too harsh, hence softer cool tones = summer, but not soft as I'm dark so can take the stronger colours. Sounds like you are in the right season it's just not as clear cut for some of us.

Maybe I need to bite the bullet and have a session. It seems really extravant somehow!

ILikeToClean · 18/08/2013 18:31

Yes it does, but you know what, I just thought sod it!! Life revolves around the family etc and it was nice to focus on myself for a day and it should save money in the long term, although now my next step is to sort out my wardrobe and get some new bits so no money saving yet Grin
