quick work wardrobe

im a trainer for a college and return to work soon. need to buy new clothes. its fairly casual but need to be smart when running courses. any suggestions?

A blazer smartens up everything. Maybe start with one black, one navy or a brighter colour? You can wear them with any plain top and skinny trousers/black/dark jeans and make smarten up an otherwise casual wardrobe.
Dresses are easy to dress up or down with tights and heels if you can walk in them, pumps or brogues if you can't.
Of course this may sound hideous to you, how do you dress usually?
