What nail colour for hands?

About to go on holidays and going to give gel nails a try - nail polish never lasts longer than 24 hours despite top coats etc. Sad I have a dark plum/red on my toes. I've no idea what colour to ask for my hands - I'm very pale and nude shades tend to be corpse like on me. Would fairly neutral /easy to wear colour. Help please!ThanksThanksThanksThanks

A nice coral for summer?

I really like turquoise on my hands atm

Coral is very 'now' and I think it looks nice on pale and dark skin. Or a really bright pink (fuchia). I've just had gel nails for first time and cannot believe it's non-chipping powers! :) Have a great hols.

Thanks both. I hadn't thought of turquoise but love the colour. I'm not so keen on coral but a bright fuschia might just be the summer look I'm after. I'll look at both when I get there. I'm hoping the gel lasts longer cos I hate the chipped look. Fingers crossedGrinGrin.

Dark blue or forest green? I just tried a new colour from maybelline thats a sort of sparkly medium blue, sounds hidious but its really rather nice and i'm very pale. Sorry i can't remember the name!

I'd go for something like Chanel Starlet. It's a coral colour, but not bright at all. It's very flattering on fair skin, and works with all colours.

Alternatively a dark bright pink (with warm undertones), similar to Guerlain Champs-Elysees (165).

Thanks again all for your help and suggestions. I went for a bright raspberry pink in the end - love, love, love it! And best of all no chips after 36 hours despite washing/ironing/packing etc. I'll keep all the other suggestions in mind for the post holiday repaint!!Wink
