Indian wedding help!!

Hi everyone. I'm going to an Indian wedding in Sept and can't find anything to wear! I know the bride is having 2 wedding dresses, both ivory, and an evening dress in aqua so I guess I should avoid white/ivory. Can't really find anything I like. I feel like I should wear something glitzy but I don't like things with big chunky jewels on.

I would LOVE to wear a palazzo jumpsuit but again can't find anything. Don't particularly like my upper arms..... Can anyone point me in a good direction? I'd be so grateful!

Palazzo jumpsuit, to be worn with a lace camisole underneath for modesty, plus spangly jewellery and glittery/jewelled sandals? I'd wear it with silver and turquoise.

Oooooh I love that!!! Thanks a lot!! (How did I not find this, was on Asos all last night! Hopeless!) Think I'm going to err on the side of caution and go for covered arms and legs so that is perfect. Could get an amazing necklace and some serious heels. Thanks so much!

Might be a bit old for me, my mum says! Might age me (I'm 23). I like it though, looks sophisticated.

Ooh thanks Bonnie, sorry, I hadn't seen your post. I'll have a look at that site now :)

I don't think it would be aging if you accessorised appropriately - a nice turquoisey lace camisole, plus lots of blingy silver stuff, big hair, and magenta lips/nails would make it entirely appropriate for the occasion and your age. For what it's worth, I'm the same age as you and my DM would say the same thing - I think it's because sees 70s fashion as dowdy/dated because she experienced it the first time around.

I'll have a little poke around and see what else I can find, though Smile.

Alternatively, you could look at dresses. I can't find many which cover your upper arms, but you could try one of the following with a wrap or jacket:

The embellishment would make this v appropriate, but it's £££;
[[http://www.johnlewis.com/phase-eight-donna-dress-ivy/p611339 Again, love this but £££];
Good price and suitably bling, but would need a lacy camisole underneath for modesty, and looks like it might hang a bit funny;
As above, but in green;
V cheap and could be flattering;
Red.

Are any of those along the right lines? Also, what is your budget, shape, and which colours do you like?

Oops, fixed the broken link: Again, love this but £££
