Indian wedding help!!

Hi everyone. I'm going to an Indian wedding in Sept and can't find anything to wear! I know the bride is having 2 wedding dresses, both ivory, and an evening dress in aqua so I guess I should avoid white/ivory. Can't really find anything I like. I feel like I should wear something glitzy but I don't like things with big chunky jewels on.

I would LOVE to wear a palazzo jumpsuit but again can't find anything. Don't particularly like my upper arms..... Can anyone point me in a good direction? I'd be so grateful!

Palazzo jumpsuit, to be worn with a lace camisole underneath for modesty, plus spangly jewellery and glittery/jewelled sandals? I'd wear it with silver and turquoise.

Might be a bit old for me, my mum says! Might age me (I'm 23). I like it though, looks sophisticated.

I don't think it would be aging if you accessorised appropriately - a nice turquoisey lace camisole, plus lots of blingy silver stuff, big hair, and magenta lips/nails would make it entirely appropriate for the occasion and your age. For what it's worth, I'm the same age as you and my DM would say the same thing - I think it's because sees 70s fashion as dowdy/dated because she experienced it the first time around.

I'll have a little poke around and see what else I can find, though .

Other jumpsuits:

Very sophisticated number from John Lewis, but black (possibly not ok) and sleeveless;
Also in navy blue - could look lovely with silver accessories;
Purple, very flattering, sold out online but may be available in store or from other Kaliko stockists;
Black and sleeveless again, but smart and v contemporary;
Blue chiffon, but sleeveless again and from US - could look nice with a pink cardigan/wrap/jackety thing to cover your arms and shoulders;
Also black, sleeveless chiffon and from US;
Also black and sleeveless, but looks very pretty and is available to try on the highstreet;

My choice would be between the Phase 8 number in navy blue (with something over your shoulders for modesty) and the Asos one in magenta.

Alternatively, you could look at dresses. I can't find many which cover your upper arms, but you could try one of the following with a wrap or jacket:

The embellishment would make this v appropriate, but it's £££;
