A very lovely friend is looking for an outfit for a wedding which is taking place next spring.
She's a 16/18 on top (very large norks and a carrying a lot of weight on her stomach) but more like a 14 on the bottom (tiny pert bum, long thin legs). No real waist to speak of - which I think makes her an apple? She'll be 55 but she looks more like she's in her late 40s. She has slightly tanned skin, a dark brown bob, and blue eyes.
She's completely lost as to what flatters her shape and can't really afford to spend a lot. (I think she's hoping for less than about £80 but would pay more if she found the right thing IYSWIM.) She's looking now in the hopes of finding something in the sales but is really struggling to find something that doesn't make her look 'fat and frumpy' and I think she's getting a bit disheartened.
I'd love my friend to feel lovely on the day (it's a very close family member's wedding). I know it's still a while away but I suppose I just want her to see there are lovely options out there. Please help, wise MNers!
