Capsule wardrobe and weekly laundry... can it be done?

For those of you who've embraced a capsule wardrobe, how often do you wash your clothes? I'm attempting a housework schedule and I'm planning to wash clothes once a week. But I'm also streamlining my wardrobe and I'm wondering if at some point something will have to give!!

If you have a capsule wardrobe, do you have emergency spares for eg. getting soaked in the rain, sick DC etc? Or do you simply wash more often if you go through your clothes more quickly than normal?

TIA

Coloured bedclothes.

Delicates, not delicatessen. My salami does not go in the washing machine.

I don't do that every day, just one of those each day over a week, making a load a day. If I skip a day I end up with dirty clothes all over the floor. Most of the cycles on my machine are just over 3 hours long, so I can't do loads in one day.

I do 6/7 loads a week. There are 4 of us.
Excluding towels and bedding, I do 3/4 clothes washes, most of which are smalls, the DCs clothes and DHs oily work clothes i.e. stuff that is actually stained or dirty.
Do not wash my expensive cashmere knits, silk work tops, wool trousers and other quality gear every time they're worn as they are not actually dirty and in general washing wrecks clothes. Sponge stains etc to minimise washing. Clothes do not smell by the way as they are mainly natural fibres and I shower once or twice a day!

I have a capsule wardrobe. I have two pairs of linen trousers(white and navy), a skirt, two shirts, one vest, two cardigans, a jersey jacket and 3 T-shirts and 3 dresses. So far this week I wore the white linen trousers twice (one day with navy t-shirt, one with a vest and cardigan).
I wore two dresses.
This leaves me with the skirt and a tshirt tomorrow, navy linen trousers and shirt saturday and a dress for Sunday.
I don't wash at the weekend, the last time the machine goes on is on a thursday.

I'm not bored with it, I somehow manage to use the clothes as a blank canvas for my accessories.

Plus, I will be going abroad and i have eyed one or two pieces for autumn/winter that need replacing. I am not throwing the old ones away, I use them for loungewear.
