Hairdressers today.. Well kind of... I'm visiting northern roots and decided to go to a trendy salon for a decent cut ended up with new color too and I'm really pleased for once! However i feel guilty towards regular salon in the south - decided to find alternative salon to have regular roots colouring and try and go up north for big cuts. It's just so difficult to find a decent salon. How have you found your perfect salon and do you feel guilty ending the relationship with your old one?

I moved an hour away from mine and have occasionally tried various local ones here, but still can't bring myself to switch completely. So, I've finally decided to stay with my reliable salon, who always get it just right, even if it means a long drive... It's become my little treat - some "me-time" Smile

Once every couple of months, I plan a day off and book myself an appointment right after lunch. Then I book lunch in my favourite brasserie round the corner and drive up there in the morning. After my hair's done, if I have time, I wander round the shops and usually buy a bit of make-up.

It's become a regular treat I always look forward to!

I changed hairdressers this year after 12 years, I had found that as they got more famous they spent less time on getting the cut right and yet cost loads more money. The final straw was two occasions of cutting my fringe too short despite being requested at the time not to Angry.
Found a really great hairdresser closer to me recommended by a mumsnetter - thanks Smile.
