Straighteners - are cloud 9 any good

I have been without straighteners for a while now but would like to get myself some and stop just screwing my hair into a ponytail every day. I was thinking of GHDs but I'd heard cloud 9 are better - does anyone have any experience?

Hiya I need advice on this too! My GHDs have died, second set and never thought they were quite as good as the first ones. Been looking at Cloud nines and can't run to the full price at the moment but wondered if I could get away with the micro irons. My hair is one length bob, not quite shoulder length, medium thickness, naturally curly but more sort of frizzy these days. I bought a really cheap set at the weekend to tide me over but they are crap really.

Forgot to say, I dry it with a babyliss big hair but I still need the straighteners as the babyliss doesn't quite get rid of the curl/frizz.

My hairdresser uses Cloud 9 and she raves about them. She prefers them to GHDs especially as you can control the temperature.

Thought I'd update. I've just taken delivery of the Cloud nine micro irons. They're nice. I will need a bigger set (once I can find hundred quid) as my hair's a bit thicker than I am giving it credit for but they will keep me going along with Babyliss Big Hair. Still not sure if I will go for these or GHDs though. It's difficult to tell if they are better because they are so diddy but they are certainly better than the Babyliss ones I got at the weekend

Oooh fab! Mine are supposed to arrive today (along with a babyliss big hair!!) So we'll see how it foes.

my cousin is a hairdresser and she told me that the people who used to make GHD sold out and then started up cloud 9 and they are better. I havent tried them.
