Help me find a bra!!

I am a grown woman and have been wearing a bra for decades... Why is it still so damn hard to find good fitting ones?

I am a 28D. I know this to be fact. I am currently wearing a 32C as a compromise. I cannot find a normal high street shop that stocks anything smaller than a 30/32 back, that I can afford. I usually find myself forced to go up to the 32 to own bras that don't break the bank.

Can anyone help? I like underwiring, thick cups so no nipple comes through, but not cups that are moulded and solid if you see what I mean.

I am currently wearing the basic 2 for £25 bras from Ann Summers, which I like very much. A similar price would be nice, as I can't afford much else.

Any one have any pearls of wisdom?

Have you tried eBay? Amazon often have good deals especially on odd sizes, brastop is another good site

I just searched eBay. Lots of M&S, Freya, panache, and cleo ones on there. I know amazon often have panache and cleo and generally cheaper than eBay, I picked a panache bra up for £11 off there

Bit reluctant to buy online, because I'd really like to try on. May go in store, try and then buy online if I can get things cheaper though.

Unfortunately the "cheap" shops don't make 28s. Amazon has some fab deals and does free returns, you will be able to get two good bras for £25 there (brands like panache, cleo, curvy kate)

do you have anywhere like debenhams or bravissimo or john lewis locally - you could at least go in there, try some one to suss out sizing then do online? It really is the only way for small backs i'm afraid (owner of 30HHs)

It seems that a considerable proportion of women on these threads are 28 or 30. Why do so many shops not make bras in these sizes, and then fit and sell the wrong size bra to these women?

Yeah I'm in a big city, think its going to have to be a case of wandering round stores and trying on.

Totally agree - its a fairly common size! Sick to death with having uncomfy boobs.
