Removing shellac nails

Hi can anyone suggest how to remove shellac nails?

DD doesn't want to go back to the salon, as she felt they did a poor job and just doesn't want to go there again

She has tried acetone, is there anything else she could try?

I used tons of acetone but left the ott on oil soaked in acetone on my nails and wrapped tinfoil round them as advised by friends. That seemed I ok! Good luck!

Thank you
We will try that out. Fingers crossed.

First give the nails a quick buff to take the top shines layer off, then break cotton wool into really small, thin pieces, soak in acetone, cover nail, try to only cover the nail as its very drying, wrap nail in foil, and wait 15 mins, should just crumble off. It's really important to buff first and only use a small bit of cotton wool, otherwise a big piece just soaks up the acetone rather than soaking into the shellac. Rub some oil over the nails afterwards.

Thank you both
We used acetone and foil as you suggested, and covered her skin in Vaseline first to protect it.
And it worked. Hoorah Grin
Thank you for your help.
