Help with bra fitting/ buying

Having had breasts the same size (32B) for the last 10 years, a month and a half ago I went on the pill, and suddenly my breasts have grown a lot!

I'm not sure exactly how big they are, but I've tried measuring and I suspect they are now around a 30/32 C/D. It's come as a bit of a shock as I'm 24, and haven't really grown since I was 14.

I'm on quite a small budget so I've been trying to manage with my old bras until my breasts settle down, and then get new bras in the right size, incase they end up growing even more. However they are now starting to become quite uncomfortable and I think I'm going to need to buy some new bras sooner rather than later.

I don't want to spend a lot, particularly in case my breasts do continue growing, but I do want the bras to be supportive and comfortable. I think my breasts are a fairly normal shape, but they are very far apart, so I can't get a good cleavage even with the increase in size. Also my bra straps tend to fall down a lot, even at the smallest setting. I think this because I have quite narrow shoulders.

Does anyone know where I might look for reasonably priced comfortable bras?

P.S. Please no internet only shops e.g. Figleaves, I don't like buying clothes without trying them on first

You could try Debenhams, they often have a sale on. If you need a 30 then a lot of cheaper shops don't stock them so the internet really is your best option.

Have you measured yourself as described here

PS...bra straps falling down means you are probably wearing too big a band

I'm not sure if I'm a 30 or 32. I've worn 32 for years, but R&P (not that I could afford anything they sell!) reckoned I was a 30 B/C a few months ago.

I tried measuring myself using that method but it comes out as different every time. I'm not actually able to stand in the position suggested on the website (due to a back condition) so I tried crouching which was as close as I can get.

I'm not really sure how tight/ loose the tape measure should be, particularly when it comes to my cup size. On average size came out as about 31" underbust and 35" bust, which is why I think I am probably a 30/32 C/D. I am usually a size 10 in clothes, does this sound a realistic bra size for a 10?

I'm happy to buy over the internet once I know something fits e.g. if I've tried it on in Debenhams and know it fits I am happy to buy the identical product online. But there is nowhere I can physically try on a fig leaves bra to check it fits.

If we start with 31/35, and consider that your 32s are falling down then I would suggest starting with a 30D and 30DD. Totally realistic for a 10.

Brastop has free returns as does amazon

Thanks for the advice.

I wouldn't be very surprised if I'm a 30C/D, but I doubt I'm as large as a DD. However I will go and have a look, you never know!

Debenhams seem to have some quite reasonably priced bras, think I will start there...

I know most online shops including Figleaves will do free returns, however it's more about the hassle of not knowing which one to choose, getting the wrong style/size, having to send it back and having to keep trying to find a well fitting one.

Perhaps when I have a bit more of idea of what styles/sizes are most likely to fit I would look online, but not at the moment.

And the final verdict: 30D

32C also fitted fairly well, but did not provide as much back support.

However it seems that even with a smaller back size, my bra straps still fall down (although maybe not as much as before)
