For ankle boots - I have just ordered these boots earlier this evening - based on recommendation by annianni on the MN Vogue thread. I think they would work with both that skirt and those trousers.

Ooooo lovely boots, they are fab and a bargain.

Was looking for something with a heel to replace my Ash boots, they are very marked from salt marks from last winter.

But they are only £20.....

Remus love those heeled chelsea boots! Have been torn between them and the Amalia lace up brogues.

I have just pinned the flat topshop ones - but I have a confession! I tried on the black version in TS the other day and broke them - tab at the back came off in my hand while trying to pull them on - I hid the tab in the boot and ran

Oops! DD2 did that once. I'd told her to try a dress on over her clothes, because the changing room was full, then told her to pull the belt tighter. The dress ripped right across the front, so I whipped it off her quickly and we got the hell out of there!

Suspect it's a sign that the quality is crap and that we don't actually want to buy anyway!

Yes probably does mean quality is poor...I used to get lots of shoes in TS but not so much the last 2 years or so, often very hard leather or feel strange around the instep.

Will keep looking. I have tan heeled and black flat, but fancy brown flat ones too.

Just to update - ordered the tan topshop chelsea boots. Fit and quality is good! Not the same as the black pair I tried - I am thinking about them as not sure if I'd be better off with black ones....and my usual day to day handbag is tan so it could look a bit matchy. Going to stroll around the house in them for a day or two - still waiting for the asos ones to turn up

Yes saw the RI ones on pin - very nice. Asos ones out for delivery today - yipee - should be there when I get home.

The Asos boots are fantastic - really comfortable and amazing quality for the price. Going to return the Topshop ones - walking around the house has made me realise they will need a bit of breaking in and I don't love them as much as the Asos ones.
