Thanks Mrs.

The new preview already!

Thank you for posting.

Elsiequadrille · 10/08/2013 12:47

The code is PRV1. I guessed, as that's what it usually is, and it worked!

coffeeinbed · 10/08/2013 14:40

Whatever happened to the cropped cashmere v neck cardi?
they only do crew neck ones this year.

scarlet76 · 10/08/2013 17:40

I like the leather bowling bag in the turmeric shade... I have a scarf from last year in the same shade so may consider the bag. I appreciate a lot of people do not like that colour though!
I also like the snood scarf in fig and the tweedy looking skirt in the petite section.
Nothing else grabs me though. I used to like Boden for their cotton and silk tops but they seem to be going towards viscose at the moment which I like less.

GeorginaWorsley · 10/08/2013 17:45

Not overly impressed.
Like bistro trousers and velvet slim leg trousers but think that is it.
Coat priced ridiculous ,and no velvet option this year that I can see.

lesleyglasgow · 10/08/2013 17:46

Boden is a great website, just purchased a pair of brown suede boots for work in the winter.

FrancesFarmer · 10/08/2013 23:14

It's more of a supplement to the Autumn Collection than a new collection, I would say.

I really like the Notre Dame skirt in blue bouclé.

Elsiequadrille · 10/08/2013 23:21

Obviously it's a supplement to the a/w collection. Still 'new', however Wink

I like one of the dresses, otherwise it's really quite disappointing.

MadBusLady · 11/08/2013 00:13

I like the Diana coat in white, am weighing it up against this Ted Baker one (£120 more and less classic?)

Agree the dresses are samey though. Why have they started making everything out of ponte with a high neckline?

Can anyone who's tried both tell me how the bistro cut compares to their skinny jeans cut? I find their skinnies really gapey through the hips and thigh if it fits on the waist.

MadBusLady · 11/08/2013 00:16

Well, Ted Baker clearly don't want anyone to link to their website, but it's the Vivaine one.

Missbopeep · 11/08/2013 08:52

Mad the Bistro cut is more generous imo. I returned some cropped skinny cords which I could barely fasten in a 10, but the Bistro wool trousers are very comfy.
They do have slip in side pockets which potentially give a hippy look, and I find most Boden trousers cut for heavy thighs and biggish hips, but with small waists - although the Bistros in wool are a pretty nice fit, there is still too much fabric for a 'perfect' fit ( for me) at the top of the thigh on the side seams IYSWIM. I'm a 28-29 ish waist and 35 hip, so the hips are often a big baggy.

MadAboutHotChoc · 11/08/2013 09:06

Thanks Miss. Sounds like these may not fit me either... these bistros are not wool (and dry clean only - living in the sticks, dry cleaning is such a faff) and I need a pair of smart trousers which is why I am interested in these.

Dancergirl · 11/08/2013 09:23

What do you think of the Contrast Colour Tunic?

Missbopeep · 11/08/2013 09:54

I've been looking at all the Mint Velvet black trousers because I need some smart casual trousers- MV have loads- the cropped capris are nice but I returned as I wanted something warmer. I find it's very hard to really tell what the clothes are like from their website so have been using free delivery from J Lewis! Worth having a look...........

MadBusLady · 11/08/2013 10:52

Thanks Miss. I have about the same waist/hip ratio as you then. That's a shame, I love the look of the colours and fabric, but I do hate that bunchy feeling you get when you sit down in trousers that don't really fit.

Missbopeep · 11/08/2013 12:52

It's tricky Mad- if you feel like bothering maybe send for the Bistro ones? They are by far the best of the bunch so far for me, but I'm dithering over the length because 7/8 trousers don't really work for me with footwear- I tend to live in boots as I have problems finding shoes that fit.

Re. Boden fitting- my hips are nearer an 8 but my waist is a 10- so that's the problem! Boden gives 37 -38 inches as a size 10 hips which means they are really catering for pear shapes and I'm more of a rectangle or apple depending on how much I've stuffed myself.

MadAboutHotChoc · 11/08/2013 13:35

Missbo - I have the same problem, a wide waist and slim hips. My trousers need to go up to just below waist in order to fit properly. I might have a look in the Gap as well as Mint Velvet.
