Anyone seen any nice 'formal joggers'

I quite fancy a pair for my holiday in a few weeks time. Does anyone have any recommendations on nice ones? The ideal would be ones that come in 'long' length, but that might be asking a bit much!

Not sure quite what you mean by 'formal joggers' but these from Abercrombie and Fitch are nice, I have some from a couple of years ago and they're really soft and comfortable and reasonably flattering as these things go.

Can you describe what formal means a bit snowgirl? I've been on a major hunt of late so have seen loads but don't know what you are looking for exactly at the mo.

PoppyWearer · 10/08/2013 11:48

Do you mean yoga/Pilates pants?

mysteryfairy · 10/08/2013 12:02

Zoe Karssen ones are a bit posher I suppose if you go by price.

Maybe harem type pants from wrap or toast.

Not sure I've ever seen any I'd wear to work or out for dinner though!

Next have these ones.

MrsPercyPig · 10/08/2013 13:24

Has anyone tried the Next ones? They look really comfy! Wonder if I could wear them for work?

Snowgirl1 · 10/08/2013 14:17

Sorry, formal joggers are trousers which have an elasticated cuff at the bottom (like old fashioned tracksuit pants), but are made from fabric. Like these topshop ones (or drapey harem style trousers)

I got some really nice full length ones from French Connection a couple of weeks ago

GoingVerySlowlyMad · 10/08/2013 18:37

MrsPercyPig I was wondering the same! I really like them but am wondering what they would look like on a bottom heavy 12/14.

XiCi · 10/08/2013 18:50

These are the French Connection ones. They're dressy enough to wear for a night out and are really flattering. They're in the sale, not available online anymore but were still in store last week.

cafenoir · 10/08/2013 19:00

Oh I had the wrong end of the stick completely. I was hunting for traditional joggers with elasticated ankles a while back and got sorted in M&S, which was a surprise. I think I've seen some a bit like in your link in River Island but they looked rather polyestery.

Snowgirl1 · 10/08/2013 22:14

Thanks XiCi, those FC ones look really nice - might have to pop into town tomorrow to see if they're in our local FC. When you wear then for a night out do you wear with flats or heels?

The White Company have some nice ones in their new collection. I bought mine from EAST in navy and black: www.east.co.uk/distressed-harem-trouser-/

XiCi · 12/08/2013 15:01

I wear with strappy heels OP, not unlike the ones on the photo. Hope you find them, they were a bargain too from £97 to £26!

zgaze · 12/08/2013 15:11

I live in these Hush ones - great quality, wash well, flattering. I buy them up in the sales though, can't steel myself to pay £50 for joggers! www.hush-uk.com/long-harem-trousers-black.html

Dumpylump · 12/08/2013 15:15

I have the Next ones from the link. They're very comfy, look nice and have washed fine. The fabric is a little thin though...changed my knickers before we went out when my sister admired their stripiness through the trousers! Grin
