I'm a 34F, and my boobs are fine but need some help fighting gravity as I'm now 40 post children. I don't want a balonette/wonderbra type thing that will make me look like a weird person but would like the boob line to be perkier if you see what I mean?

Freya deco bra (bravissimo).... amazing !

reikizen · 05/08/2013 15:22

my boobs are quite big though, so I may look like a 'carry on' character in that! I sort of need something without 'cougar' cleavage, but boobs hoisted up...

Honestly it's not over the top, just a really good shapely supportive bra. (I'm a 30G and it's my favourite for comfort and shape).

Failing that are you sure you're the size you think you are? A good supportive bra in the correct size can work wonders, especially if your back size is not right. Just wondering what else might help :)

SorrelForbes · 05/08/2013 15:25

Sorry, Fairlea, but many people actually find it difficult to get a good fit with the Deco. The same is true for many other moulder bras especially if you have boobs that are bottom heavy/fuller at the bottom. They just don't mould to your own shape and tend to gape at the top whilst your boobs fall out of the middle at the bottom!

OP, try something like the Cleo Juna or Panache Idina balconettes. They both give great lift without being too 'Marie Antionette'.

SorrelForbes · 05/08/2013 15:27

I know lots of people love the Deco but I've never seen it fit anyone perfectly. I own one and often put it on but it doesn't give me anywhere like the amount of lift of get in from my Cleos, Fauves or (the best of all) my Ewa Michalaks. I also find the Deco gives very obvious, hard, lines under tighter tops? Might be my shape though!

reikizen · 05/08/2013 15:30

It's like the shoulder straps are too long, iyswim? Even if I shorten them as far as I can, they still leave me droopy! I have even resorted to sewing them shorter, I do the same in swimming costumes!

I don't fit the deco either. It doesn't seem to adapt to the wearer very well, it is just the shape it is and you either fit that or not. (I'm 30FF, roundish shaped breasts). I am off to google the Panache Idina. Haven't worn Panache since pre-children as the wires used to come up quite high in the armpit and I didn't find them comfortable, but I should give the brand another go.

BaDaBing · 05/08/2013 15:35

Do you have a boux avenue near you? Go get fitted - they are great!

goodasitgets · 05/08/2013 15:37

I've just read a review of the parfait Charlotte bra.. Will find it shortly

Meant to give great uplift. The bravissimo cherry fling also works for me without being a plunge

SorrelForbes · 05/08/2013 15:50

I've just ordered the Charlotte as they've recently extended the size range past G. I'll shall post a review once it's arrived.

Another MNer (Bra Guru Marriednotdead) recommended the Idina as she knows how much I like a bit of lift. It's great and I wear it a lot. Funnily enough, I don't get on with any other Panache styles, although I'm a big fan of their Cleo and Masquerade ranges.

goodasitgets · 05/08/2013 15:54

Oops. Cough
Ordered it too GrinBlush

goodasitgets · 05/08/2013 15:56

Ahh see I love Panache. Will be interesting to see if the bra works on both of us. I went for my normal size 34JJ as I'm in between 32/34 and they say band comes up tight

Fairylea · 05/08/2013 17:12

Breasts are funny things aren't they... you see the deco is my favourite bra of all time! And I usually have a problem getting bras to fit comfortably without the wires digging in in the middle - I am very bony!

I can't stand panache bras, I always find them minimising, whereas even being a 30g I don't want them minimising!

I guess we're all different :)

SorrelForbes · 05/08/2013 17:45

The Idina doesn't seem to minimise. It fits more like a Cleo really.

I can't wait to try the Charlotte. I've had my eye on that bra for ages but it only went to a G and I really need a GG these days.
