Returning to work - I need a new wardrobe.

I'm returning to work soon after being on ML for a year. I really hate all my old work clothes (mostly out of style now anyway!).

I want a capsule wardrobe with separates I can mix and match.

I work in an office and need to look smart. What would you suggest and how many of each?

Me too - back to work after being a sahm for a while.

I'm a stone heavier than I'd like to be but have bought 3 pairs plain black trousers from ASOS, wrap tops from Boden, a smart wool jacket from Boden and a couple of dresses which I will wear with boots. Office is smart casual rather than suits though so don't know if that helps?

I am loathe to suggest anything specifuc as our tastes might be different but if you look up capsule work wardrobe on Pinterest you will get loads of suggestions and examples of what basics start with.

Blogs like Wardrobe Oxygen and Capital Hill Style also do good office wear features. Both are based in the US so you might not be able to buy the exact item but they are great for ideas.

Thanks ladies

I'm looking for some tailored items that will last a few seasons.

Probably tapered trousers, skirts, blazers etc.
