Like converse but wider

As the title says really. I want low profile trainer type things, but wider to accomodate my hooves feet. I want to rubber trim if any to be white not cream. I had a look at old threads which mentioned pf flyers and keen Coronado, but can't really find them for sale at the moment, and the keen ones look like clown shoes a bit... Anyone seem anything around right now that are wider than converse? Am a UK7/41

Superga might work. They're sized quite generously - I usually size down a half size, but maybe the usual size might fit your feet.

TeddyPickleStick · 04/08/2013 15:49

Vans and SuperGa both come up wide. I'm a size 5 and both the above are too big in me in my usual size

theresmoretome · 04/08/2013 15:50

I have looked at superga, but I don't love the styling. I might try though, thanks..

I better remind myself of what vans are like- I can only think of big chunky ones

ash generally come up big and wide so these might work plus are sale bargain

My DD wears Vans, they have a variety of sole thicknesses. She has the chunky soled jet black ones for school and they look good,
I have freakily narrow feet so I bought myself high top Converses (and rather comfy and nice they are too Smile )

browneyedpixie · 04/08/2013 19:21

I too was going to say superga! Grin

You might like Keen Coronados?
They are quite different to Converse, but are much wider and really comfortable. I love mine very much!

Will see if I can do a link...

Keen Coronados

Huzzah, it worked!

Bugger just read your first post again properly and see you aren't keen on the clown shoes lol

Sorry about that - trigger happy posting fingers...

deffo ash. I could probably go a size down. Search about a bit I got some on ebay.

EauRouge · 05/08/2013 09:10

Ethletic. Wider and more comfy than Cons, there's also a wee bit of arch support in there which makes a lot of difference. Much better quality too, mine have lasted way better than Converse. Also they are fair trade so you can feel a bit smug.

MmeDefarge · 05/08/2013 15:57

Definitely try Superga. 'Like Converse but wider' could be the Superga tagline.

Dontletthemgetyoudown · 05/08/2013 21:14

Fat face ones are wider too. As are boden and cath kudston ones. I cant wear converse but can wear the other ones.

bishboschone · 05/08/2013 21:16

Superga.. I couldn't keep them on :-(

theresmoretome · 05/08/2013 22:35

Thanks everyone. Am looking at superga, like the ethletics too (they look just like converse) but they don't have much stock in at the moment.
Threesteps sorry about the clown shoes comment- I meant no offence!

Croc ones - much much more confy than Converse.

PoppyWearer · 05/08/2013 22:44

Did you look at Vans? They have a 50% sale on some Converse-style shoes and I picked some up for less than £30.

I also love Ash, they are vvvvvcomfy and am tempted by the ones linked up-thread.

blueberry2310 · 05/08/2013 22:57

I have wide feet and wear converse, superga and ash virgins. All fit in my size which is a 36. Although I think the superga are a 35.5.

threestepsforward · 08/08/2013 12:24

none taken
